Courteous Mass - Dayton Ride
Gather starting after 5:00 PM. We ride at 5:30 PM
FREE - all you need to bring is a bike. Ride takes about 45 minutes. Courteous Mass is a monthly urban street cycling ride in Dayton, Ohio. We raise the visibility and respect for street cycling by our numbers and our courteousness. Inspired by Critical Mass rides around the country, COURTEOUS MASS shares the road with auto traffic and obeys traffic laws. Our purpose is to have fun, see the city from our bikes, and be seen on our bikes. For many in Dayton, cycling means bike trails - with good reason because we have so many beautiful trails. But few are willing to bike out on the streets; very few motorists expect to see bikes sharing the road. It makes the Dayton area bike unfriendly. Courteous Mass aims to change that if we can. Ride with us and see how easy and fun urban cycling is. Ride with us and let the drivers see cyclists in Dayton!
Meet at: Don Crawford Plaza (in front of 5/3 Field) at the corner of Patterson and Monument in Dayton

Up & Running and Independent Running Retailer Association
Heart & Sole for Haiti
12:00 - 4:00 PM
Less than 200 miles from the United States a tragedy has taken place in Haiti. Thousands of lives have been lost. Imagine losing all of the participants in the Boston, New York, Chicago and London marathons...all at once. It would be incomprehensible. Sometimes it seems a bit meaningless to be conducting business as usual when over 150,000 people are confirmed dead, and 1.5 million are homeless with little to no food, water or medical supplies. As a member of the IRRA, UAR is part of a great running community that supports one another and most importantly those that are less fortunate.
Up & Running in coordination with the IRRA wants to help make a difference. Here is how:
1. Head to UAR on February 14th from 12pm-4pm
2. For every pair of regular priced shoes you purchase UAR will donate $10.00 to the IRRA Haiti Fund.
3. If you match or exceed our contribution you will receive $5.00 off your purchase .
We at UAR know we are lucky to have such fabulous customers & friends that value a healthy lifestyle. We hope to make an impact beyond our local community to those that are in need on February 14th!
